Elder Taylor: Uruguay, Montevideo Mission

Starting November 7, 2013 I will be serving a full-time mission in Montevideo, Uruguay. I am so excited to serve the people of Uruguay in the Spanish language. I will leave all worldly distractions behind and will work to bring people closer to God. At home I try to be an example to my friends, I let my standards be known to all around me. I am proud to tell anyone around me that I am a Mormon. For the next 24 months my mom will update this blog.

Going to Uruguay!

We just got this email from Ben today. He was able to let us know about his travel plans. Looks like he will be in Uruguay on December 17th.

Hey Family,

So we just got the travel info. I leave the CCM at 4 in the morning to catch my flight at 6:50.

I´m so excited to get to Uruguay.They say the flight is only half an hour.

Chances are after my interveiw with Pres. Newsome I´ll probably get my first companion!!!

The Church has established the Pouch Mail program to help families to communicate better with their missionaries in countries with poor mail systems. When you mail your letters to the Pouch Mail Department in Salt Lake City, the Church places all the letters bound for one mission in a big package and ships them to the mission through an express carrier service. When the letters arrive at the mission office in the destination country, the office Elders open the package of letters and distribute them to the Elders and Sisters throughout the mission.
